Health Care for the Homeless
Mission:
Health Care for the Homeless Pittsburgh provides health care and social services to the homeless population of Allegheny County. We work with other healthcare, social service and community agencies to eliminate the barriers to quality health care for every homeless person in and surrounding Allegheny County.
We believe that the homeless deserve quality care that is easily accessible and culturally competent. We recognize that the health needs of homeless individuals are diverse and require a coordinated and comprehensive community response.
We will develop and nurture relationships with community stakeholders who strive to improve access to health and social services and availability of permanent housing for the homeless.
Our services to homeless individuals is provided at existing shelters in Pittsburgh and McKeesport.
